The Horses

Bantry Pony Trekking started with a few ponies that were neglected and/or unwanted which we bought.

Star

Star

Star is a firm favourite with all our clients, honest and reliable.
He has been with us for over 20 years and taught so many riders so much.

Honey Bear

Another favourite with clients, especially younger children, he will patiently stand for hours being groomed and plaited and is very popular for the lead-rein rides.
He is the smallest pony we have.

Honey Bear
Monkey

Monkey

Monkey is a recent addition and is very popular. Kind and obliging he will take the smallest lead-rein or pop a pole with a more confident rider...very friendly.
He is always on the look-out for carrots!

Trixie

Trixie is a great lead-rein pony but knows how to live up to his name...still despite his naughty ways he has a dedicated fan-club who bring him his favourite treat.......apples!!

  Trixie
Henry

Henry

Henry is a fabulous pony for riders starting jumping. Careful and considerate he never puts a hoof wrong and is a real confidence giver.....the cross-country field is his favourite place to be.

Cornflake

Cornflake is another yard favourite, affectionately known to his friends as ‘Mr Tubs’ due to his fondness for his food he is a gentle soul who is also an accomplished jumper for lessons and cross-country riding.

Hector, Winston and Ruby

Hector, Winston and Ruby

Hector, Winston and Ruby are the popular family trio..Father, Son and Mum respectively. Although Mum (Ruby) enjoys her peace and quiet, Hector and Winston are inseperable, you will find them sharing the same stable and even the same feed bowl and they are always eager for a pat and a carrot.

Polly

Here is Polly, a lovely piebald mare, she is always on the look out for fun and adventure, keen to jump and compete she keeps us all on our toes.
